St John's homework for footballing students!
Today in class, we read on for five pages or so (to the bottom of page 286 in some additions). Please catch up. The last sentence we read was: "Hear anything?' he asked. “No".
Place the following into sentences please:
- materialise: to appear / to come into existence
- wail: to cry out
- squander: to spend wastefully
- frenzied: (adjective) in wild excitement, crazed. Example: It was a frenzied attack.
- mill: (v) to move about in a confused fashion
- except
- accept
- venture :(v) to go somewhere or do something when there is a risk involved
